There's Roxy with her two kids who move to her husband's army post and basking in her new life as an Army wife. She meets Claudia Joy, Pamela who is very pregnant with twins who (ouch!) secretly acts as a surrogate to pay off her family's debt, and psychiatrist Roland Burton who is trying to reconcile with his wife who just got home from her battle in Afghanistan.

Pamela relies on her new friends to keep her being a surrogate from being exposed.

In the pilot episode of Army Wives, "A Tribe is Born," Roxy (Sally Pressman) impetuously decides to marry Private First Class Trevor LeBlanc (Drew Fuller) and moves with her two children to his Army post. Floundering in her new life as an Army wife, she takes a job as a bartender at a local joint known for being a Jody bar (where civilian men go to hit on enlisted men's wives).

Pamela constitutes a decision on whether to join the Atlanta PD or remain at Fort Marshall as an army wife. Claudia Joy graduates law school and Professor Chandler provides her a job at his law firm. Joan tackles a brand new job including understanding how to cope with the brand new stresses. Roland attempts to find out if he is able to find time for his wife in her hectic agenda. Denise is meeting with Tonya, her future daughter-in-law but things log off to a rocky start.

Some scenes have been shot in and around the City of Charleston. Fort Marshall is presumably based on the actual 82nd Airborne Division based at Fort Bragg. And, Denise Sherwood (Catherine Bell) is dealing with her son Jeremy's anger issues and her strict husband; Major Frank Sherwood (Terry Serpico) is about to be deployed. The unlikely group bonds when Pamela unexpectedly goes into labor at Claudia Joy's wives' tea party and subsequently gives birth on the pool table in the bar where Roxy works. Not wanting everyone to know her family's dire financial situation, Pamela relies on these new friends to keep her surrogacy from being exposed.

As the first season progresses, the four women and Roland all become close friends. They face things such as deployments, abuse, hostage situations, adultery, posttraumatic stress disorder, and prescription drug addiction. Though the show is based on the book of the same name, and some of the characters echo their book counterparts, significant differences exist.

It is revealed that Emmalin has been suppressing many of the same feelings, not knowing why she was spared when her older sister, Amanda, was killed near the end of season one.

The fourth season deals with Roxy LeBlanc's miscarriage, Denise Sherwood's pregnancy, Col. Joan Burton's traumatic brain injury, the divorce of Pamela and Chase Moran, the possible closing of Fort Marshall, the deployment of three husbands/fathers (General Michael Holden, Lt. Col. Frank Sherwood and Sgt. Trevor LeBlanc) to Afghanistan, and the relationship of Jeremy Sherwood and Tanya.

You have missed how Claudia Joy begun her first day of work as an associate to professor Chandler in his law firm, but gets an unexpected turn when she gets yelled at. Roxy felt that Pamela may not want to be friends with her anymore.

This question is for army wives only. How hard was military life as a wife on you? And what should I expect?

My fiancé is considering the military and I am scared. Will he be safe? How long will he deploy for. I need to know the basics and how it affected your lives. Please give me an upfront true opinion on how it affected you and how safe do you think he will be. By the way, he is applying for a computer and annalist job. Is that safer?

i know it said women only. but as you can see.. i dont care. so but no

if he gets a computer and annalist job. he wont even go out on the battlefield. and if he did get deployed on the battlefield. its up to him to stay alive. not anyone else. so that depends on him.

and for how long he'll be deployed for depends on how long he signs his name on the paper for. and it shouldnt affect your life that much either. if hes gonna die out there, hes gonna die out there. if he doesnt. call it a win and move on and wait for him to die by something else. its gonna happen, so might aswell get used to that sh1t. goodluck.
