Where do I keep my backpack in middle school?

This might be kinda stupid to ask... But im going to be in middle school for the first time this year... and I was just wondering where all the middle school students keep there backpacks... Do they just keep in their lockers...? And Im asking this queston because I usually see kids in youtube vids and when they open their lockers, they dont have their backpack in there.

At my middle school, we keep our backpacks on all day and carry them to all our classes/lunch. Most people didn't use lockers at all....
Everyone just their backpacks them under our desk/table in class. All schools are different though.
