How can i prevent leakage from my stoma bag ?

I had a stoma bag fitted a couple of weeks ago but i have had a lot of leakage mostly at night when am sleeping is there anything i can do to prevent this or any thing i can use .

Is it leaking from the seal round the hole or do you have a bag that can be emptied? Try putting extra sealant/glue on your skin or check your clip is extra secure before going to be. If your overweight unfortunately the bags don't stay in place as well as they should. Maybe you need to try a different bag style ask your stoma nurse or gp for assistance in this.
