Black Designer Saree: A Classic Style Statement

Is an off white dress w/black beading inappropriate for a company Christmas party?

I bought a beautiful off-white dress that has black beads all through it to wear to a fancy semi-formal xmas party. It's very vintage looking. It comes just below my knee. Is off white a bad color to wear in the wintertime? I plan on bringing a black pashmina with me so if I get cold I can wear that too. Any thoughts?

do wear your hair up may be pin a broach to your hairdo, but keep it young with some bold jewelry..like supersize fake off-white pearls on your neck.
but don't do a bracelet with pearls, do a cocktail ring that will spark some conversation and peep toe shoes with a super fancy clutch.
