Men's Jewelry Breaks the Boundaries

If you thought that only Hollywood's leading ladies are staying on-top of the latest and greatest jewelry trends, then think again. From Gavin Rossdale and P. Diddy to Chris Angel and the Jonas Brothers, male celebs are rocking the bling on and off the red carpet.

Pendant necklaces are popping up on more males than ever. Usually the shapes are more masculine and the chains a bit thicker, but the style statement is all the same. Some of the most popular pendants for men right now include the classic or medieval cross or even the rosary. Most of the time, the jewelry extreme is either good or evil, as evidenced by the popularity of skull and bone charms, handcuffs and daggers. For something a little less fierce, consider a plain sterling silver chain or a long dog tag necklace. Short beaded necklaces are also a hit for more casual weekend and vacation looks.

For men's bracelets, the 'in' style is bulky and thick. Silver stainless steel bracelets accented with black are very popular, as are chain link pieces that are both tough and durable. Usually, only one accessory, such as a wide cuff, is needed to make an impact. If your guy’s more of an outdoorsman, consider more bohemian style bracelets made from natural materials such leather, suede and beads. Matthew McConaughey is a real fan of this style.

For earrings, usually a simple stud will do the trick and up the style ante. Consider CZ rhinestones in Asscher or cushion cut. For a rocker look, black onyx does a great job at pulling an outfit together and still looking masculine. For a David Beckham style, try a small hoop earring worn in one ear.

Although men's jewelry is more subtle than some of the options for women, don't count it out as a growing trend and a major style statement.

I do not plan on getting them right now, but I would like to have some idea of what they will look like.

If you want an idea of what they will look like, go ask a tattoo artist to draw them. Or if you have a friend that is an artist, ask them to draw it.

Most artists, myself included, would ask for money for their sketches.
