The concept behind Adva's collection is Casual with A chic twist. The most important thing for her is to be able to bring quality women's apparel at affordable prices to every woman. She want her designs to feel as part of the woman's body and to do so she is using the softest fabrics and most comfortable patterns.

Adva's goal is to make high quality women's wear at affordable cost for everyone. Her clothing line can be define as Casual with a twist. The unique pieces are made from the most pleasant fabrics and have super comfy shapes.

In her collection you can find 3-in-1 felted scarves inspired by the Israeli desert and the ancient city of Petra in Jordan. Fully handmade by Adva, she knitted the off-white fabric from 100% Italian Merino wool, then felted it by hand, and knitted the "rocky" charcoal fabrics from 100% cotton yarns. The result is a multi-purpose long scarf that can be worn in at least 3 ways.

Also to be found in the collection is some perfect winter snuggles – these are long shrugs knitted by Adva that can be worn also as scarves.

Duende's Tunic Dress is surly one of the most practical items. This is a smart casual mini dress that can be worn as a shirt too.

How to look chic in hot, muggy weather (Manhattan in August)?

Going to New York City for an important, art-related job, so I don't have to necessarily wear a traditional suit...I'd like to look put-together, yet still comfortable enough to trudge around the city. I am not used to humidity at all (I live in a dry climate) and I see forecast is in the mid 80s with isolated thunderstorms. I have no idea what that's like. Any suggestions on what to wear? Thanks.

Also what shoes can I get away with? I can't stand heels...

I'm from AZ and just spent two months in manhattan--humidity is unreal. This is one thing I noticed while I was working there: black is something you will always get away with as far as color goes.

Dresses are great with the humidity, I found. I liked wearing dresses with a belt & wedges. I found that to be pretty uniform. Ballet flats or decorated flats were great for walking and still looked stylish.

High waisted skirts are a great choice with a t-shirt tucked in (again, with a belt)...Or any skirt for that matter--floral patterns are pretty hot right now.

NYC has become a lot less formal and you could get away with a lot as long as your hair and make up looks put together and you aren't wearing something TOO casual (grungy jeans, denim skirt, baggy tees, etc.) Good luck!
