Use The Right Mentor Or Coaching When You Open A Dollar Store

One of the biggest challenges associated with successfully getting a retail store open and operating is collecting and then correctly interpreting all of the tasks that must be performed. If everything isn’t done in the right order, other tasks are delayed. For example, ordering gondola fixtures too late leaves you unable to stock the shelves with merchandise. Ultimately this can result in a delayed opening for your business. And of course that costs you money. On the other hand, you must be careful of the advice you accept. Following the ideas and direction of someone who doesn’t know your business can wreak havoc with your store plans. In this article I present using the right mentor or coach when you open a dollar store.

If you choose to use the services of a coach or mentor be sure that person knows your business. They should have both training and hands-on experience. Just as you would never consider allowing your auto mechanic to reroof your house, don’t expect someone who spent their life in the high-tech industry to know all the ins and outs associated with your business. When you open a dollar store look to select a coach or mentor with actual hands-on experience in the dollar-discount-variety business.

Make sure the person you select is current with the industry. Don’t accept someone who worked part-time for a retail store and then went on to college and a lengthy career without direct exposure and interaction with the dollar-discount-variety industry. While this person may bring some great strengths to the table, you need someone who knows the ins and outs of the business right now; today.

Your coach or mentor needs to be someone who’s business and teaching style matches your own. Don’t build in style conflicts when you are working to open a dollar store. Just completing everything required to make your new business a success is stressful enough. Your goal is to bring someone in who can quickly, efficiently and comfortably help you accomplish your goals.

If you are about to open a dollar store and want help, only work with someone you can trust. Check references online and offline. Ask for previous clients you can call. Be sure to do just that – make the phone call and ask the hard questions to be sure you are dealing with someone who left the clients you speak with happy and satisfied with the help offered.

I don't think they would have enough inside. Basically your replacing Prince, Billiups, and Wallace from the Pistons most recent championship team. I think you lose the advantage on the block with Rashard and give away a posting, 3 point shooting closer in Billiups. Even if Prince vs Ariza is a push you've lost some big shot making ability. Granted, Terry would be huge...but what we are seeing in the last 2 finals is to compete you need as many 6'7 (or up) guys off the bench as possible. I do think they might make it to the finals, just not sure they could close.
