Are Anti-Aging Creams Really Effective?

If you are like me then you know there are lots of anti-aging creams on the market today. But are anti-aging creams really effective at stopping age or can they hide it well. Most of the ones I have used were not any good. Here is a list of the best ones I have used and why I stopped using them.

Most of the so called great moisturizers are cheaply made or VERY expensive when you find a good one to use. I don't mind paying a bit more if it helps to hide my wrinkles or can remove the bags from under my eyes. Another interesting point is that it seems to me that right when I find a good anti-aging cream they take it off the market. Sometimes it seems also that it stops working for me once I have used it for a while.

So, are Anti-Aging Creams Really Effective at reversing the age of time? I would have to say "yes" and here is why.

I'm not going to go through my entire list of issues but I will speak about two common areas of interest to me, my prune like top lip and my under eye puffiness issues.

Starting with my prune top lip, I'm very sure this was caused by plucking. It seemed to that when I turned 40 dying the hair above my lip was useless so I started plucking. By the time I was 45 years old I looked like a 70 year old lady with all the wrinkles in my top lip.

Secondly, when I look in the mirror some mornings it looks like the bags under my eyes would require separate cargo shipment at the airport.  Yes I'm exaggerating but I know there are a few of you who know what I mean. Have very puffy eyes or in my case bags under the eyes make us look very tired or sick all the time.

Are Anti-Aging Creams Really Effective at stopping prune lips or bags under the eyes? Below is a list of popular drug store creams I have used in the past. These are the best ones I have found and used myself.

I have ranked my list starting with the best to the really good ones. I have not included all the anti-aging creams I have used as the list is too long and what most important is what does work. Also keep in mind that most of these are very expensive so if you do decide to try them don't faint when you read what they cost me at the time when I was buying them.

1. LANCOME Genifique Eye therapy: I used this for both my prune top lip and under eye care at the suggestion of a friend. It's an activating eye concentrate and it works very well as an Anti-Aging Cream. I really loved it at the time. Before using it nothing could hide the wrinkles this well. It really was the best I had tried at the time but I still looked my age, just a lot less wrinkles. I don't use it anymore. Price is around $85.

2. LANCOME Renergie Lift Volumetry Yeux: Not sure if they still have or not because I haven't seen it. I used this for quite a while but after some time it seems to stop working or my skin just got used to it. You could expect to pay around $98 like I did back in the middle of 2007.

3. RoC,Multi-Correxion Eye Cream: I used this back in my early 30's when I first noticed tha bags under my eyes seemed to be getting more noticeable. Back in those days the price was more reasonable at around $22.

Better anti-aging alternatives

With today's technology they have come up with much better ways of controlling skin aging and I have jumped all over it. Can one make fozen yogurt in a ziploc bag just like ice cream?
