Quilted Bedspreads: My Requirement for Healing from a Hysterectomy

I do love to shop—and I love to shop online even more.  And with having my insides yanked out in a few weeks, I think I need some retail therapy to help with my anxiety. I was looking around my bedroom and realized—I've had my quilted bedspread for over five years. I do believe it's time for a new one. And since I'll be stuck in this room for a while, on this bedspread, I think I'm due for a new one.

 

I ran the idea past my husband first. Since he sleeps there too, I had to okay it with him first before I started shopping. The poor dear didn't really stand a chance. What was he going to do? Say no? He just said not to go crazy. So I got online started my search for cute quilted bedspreads.

 

I think I spent a good day browsing online stores. My problem is that I'm rather particular. I like what I like and I have to not like—but fall in love with something before I buy it.  So I kept on browsing. I printed out my favorites when I found them and bookmarked them so I could easily go back if I wanted to. 

 

The way I see it, I'm not just shopping for quilted bedspreads. I'm redesigning my bedroom. So whatever I choose, I will ultimately "go crazy" and redo the entire master bedroom.  Here are my choices. We'll see if you agree with them.

 

Choice 1: The Ashbury

I like florals and this one is just beautiful. It's perhaps a little more feminine than the one I have now. But it does have some greens and blues.  I love the reds and pinks. And in all fairness, I've kept things pretty gender neutral, leaning more toward more masculine colors. I think I can get away with this, especially now. 

 

Choice 2: The Indigo Patchwork  

Now I think this is the perfect compromise. It has a lot of dark blues and browns. But there is also just enough red and florals for me to like it. And I do admit, blue is one of my favorite colors. The more I look at it, the more I like it. And we could use some of our current décor with this too and not go as crazy as I thought I'd have to redoing the room.

 

You see my dilemma? I'm a bit torn.  But I have to order this as soon as possible so I can have it in time for my hysterectomy.
