Tinker Bell, is a fictional character from J. M. Barrie's 1904 play and 1911 novel Peter and Wendy. She has appeared in multiple film and television adaptations of the tale, particularly the 1953 animated Walt Disney picture Peter Pan. Initially only a supporting character described by her creator as'a common fairy', her animated incarnation was a hit and has since become a commonly recognized unofficial mascot of The Walt Disney Company, and the center piece of its Disney Fairies media franchise including the direct-to-DVD film Tinker Bell. In her animated form she leaves a trail of twinkling pixie dust.
The figure for Tinker Bell was modeled after Margaret Kerry who played Tinker Bell in the live action version of Peter Pan.
Tinker Bell, an overpowering standout from the film, went on to be featured in numerous Walt Disney ventures. Additionally, she was on Walt Disney Presents, Walt Disney's wonderful arena of Color, and finally, The superb world of Disney.

At Disneyland, Tinker Bell is prominently featured in Peter Pan's Flight, a postponed dark ride based mostly on the design from the animated film. Starting 1961, she was also featured as a live performer who flew thru the sky at the climax of some of the nightly fireworks displays. She was originally played by 71-year-old former circus performer Tiny Kline, up until her retirement three years after.

This movie shows how Tinker Bell started and introduces us to several of her fairy friends.
She remains great pals with the fairies she meets on the way.

This is a location at the edge of Tomorrowland, toward Fantasyland. Within elf Hollow you are shrunk to Fairy size by the over large flora and fauna.
With the arrival of Pixie Hollow, now you can meet Tinker Bell for the first time! Tinker Bell, Rosetta, Iridessa and Silvermist hang out in Pixie Hollow. Each fairy likes to pose for photos and sign autograph books.
Tinker Bell is a good subject for a costume for a range of reasons. First Tinkerbell is a well-loved personality. Everybody's seen a picture of the fairy, or heard the stories or observed the Disney version, or seen Julia Roberts bring her to life in Hook.

Secondly, a Tinkerbell costume can be evolved to suit any style of party, if you are attending an adults only party, then the fairy suit can be made to look sexy ( with a short green dress ), if it is for a youngsters's party then the same subject matter can be manufactured in a more suitable and conservative demeanour, manufacturing a lovable fairy outfit.

Is Tinkerbell shorter than all the other fairies in pixie Hollow at Disney World?

I'm interested in being cast as one of the fairies in disney world. Is Tinkerbell always shorter than the other ones? I know the full height range is 4'10'' to 5'5''. does that mean tink is like 4'10-5'2'' or something? and the rest have to be about 5'3 or so? or does it apply to all fairies. i'm about 5'2'... and i was just wondering what the deal was.
