What food/s can i give a dog who's red or white blood cell count is low?

Is this an iron deficiency? if so what food/s can i give her, she is 11yrs old. i know you can't give some human food/s to dogs like onion etc..
at the moment she is on 1 1/2 tablets of prednisoione ( cortizone ). if that is any help. she had very bad anemia as well, that has cleared up.

If you have had the blood cell count checked out then did the vet not give advice on this.

I would of thought that it is no good sorting out the food but to find the cause. Low white cells can mean infection and the body is fighting something, and not necessarily an iron deficiency.

Do not feed onions as they are toxic to dogs.

The following foods are relatively high in iron: red meat, chicken, pork, fortified breakfast cereal, bran, pumpkin seeds, blackstrap molasses, soybean nuts, spinach, red kidney beans, lima beans, prune juice, pretzels, rice, raisins, and prunes

A quick google tells you what foods are rich in iron - however do not give raisins as they also are toxic. If you want iron then red meat, chicken and molasses are the better options for a dog from the list.
