A little prom dress/accessories help?

'Kay guys. I got a prom dress for prom that looks pretty close to this one:

But without the diamond brooch and with black/specks of gold/dark red (not super noticable) embroidery across the chest and down both sides to the waist. I plan on wearing it with a black semi-seethrough shawl/wrap and black heels that nobody will see anyway. Now, I was wondering if any of you fashion gurus out there could advise me on any other accesories. Should I wear a necklace or earrings? If so, what kind? Make-up colors(brown eyes)? Hair (brunette, couple inches past the shoulders, pretty curly) up or down, ponytail or bun, straight or slightly curly, etc. Or anything else y'all can come up with. Thanks for any productivity!
