The key fob i have now is starting to break. Can i program a remote from another car?

The car im trying to program with is a 97 eclipse. I believe the remote i have hanging around was to a gallant or a pathfinder.

It has to be the same frequency transmitter. You can usually program it by turning the key a few times (this works in Subarus). You would need to research how to program it, but yes it is possible. Look closely at the old fob you have and look for a cheap one on ebay.
