How do I make a hemp necklace with different colors and glass beads?

I have three different colored hemp. One is green, one is tan, and one is brown. I have a bunch of glass beads and a clay pendant. How do I make a necklace out of those for a girl?
I am trying to figure out which knots to make with three different colored hemp. I find patterns, however, not with different colored hemp. Does it matter what type of kinds of patterns I use? I did not want to jewelry to turn out looking not put together.

You string the beads onto the hemp, you tie the ends of the string together while making sure the loop is still large enough to fit over a head.
