Resham Gold and Maroon Saree

Gold and maroon is an awesome colour combination which is vertically divided into two parts of the saree. Shimmer georgette and crepe material are diligently used through the beautiful saree design. Sequins, zari and resham embroidery are used in proportionate measures so that the balance of the saree remains intact. The saree has two different borders on its either side. The lower border is rather narrow while the upper border is relatively broad. The saree comes with a matching blouse material which could be stitched without sleeves and deep square shape neck in the back and shallow square neck in the front. The party saree is also great for festive occasions and other auspicious days at home. It is also an interesting wear for club get together or other light evening functions. The pallu has brief rectangular space with two rows of huge floral patterns. The resham embroidery has been done faultlessly throughout the saree.

The maroon part of the saree flows gracefully through the waist and is neatly pleated. This maroon region of the saree has self coloured floral work that is shimmering and slightly embossed in appearance. From the right profile through the left shoulder the saree falls smoothly through the woman's torso accentuating the feminine grace. This part of the saree is in shimmering gold colour. Floral motifs in resham embroidery are done using maroon and gold threads. These petite motifs are placed uniformly throughout the saree and radiate an exotic charm through the fabric. The floral motifs also resemble peacock shapes roughly. The lower border which is narrow has three decks. The out most part is in reddish orange strip with zari threads. The middle deck is white sequin embroidery on reddish orange base. The inner most part is white base with tiny blue leaf patterns. The upper border is broad with huge floral patterns using pale orange, brown and peach sequins.

Maroon enamel bangles, gold studded bangles could be used with gold choker for this saree. The Gold choker can have a pendant studded with maroon stones. One could accessorize with maroon handbag and maroon block heels or with gold colour accessories. Both maroon and gold could also be mixed and matched. Pale orange accessories would look bold with this saree. Hair could be tied up to suit the elegant looks of the saree. The saree stays very much in place and could be perfectly draped on any physical stature to exude grace and poise.

What kind of accessories would look best with a gold ball gown?

The gown is all gold sequins and beads, except for the bust and crisscross in the back, which are a darker gold color. I'm not sure about wearing sparkling or shiny jewelry because of all the sequins and beads. I want to wear pearls, but I wanted to get some opinions on that , or if anyone had other suggestions? thanks

Actually I think pearls would be way left field. If the dress already makes a statement then I suggest you go for the minimum...meaning if your hair is up diamond studs steal the show. You may want to wear a invisible necklace with a diamond pendant on it (the necklaces with the thin chain usually made out of plastic). This will draw attention to your neckline/bust without taking away from the dress. Less is more.
