How much gas before releasing clutch pedal?

Lets say in normal driving at a stop light and the light turns green...clutch in.. move shifter to first .. and unless you want to go very slowly with a no gas start, how many revs do you give it before letting out the clutch?

I just got a manual transmission car about 3 weeks ago with 300 hp and I can't beat a minivan filled with fat people off the line in normal driving. I don't stall at all anymore, but when I come to a dead stop and need to go, I'm a slow-azz granny.

I might be too cautious of burning my clutch I guess, so for you people who can last 150k miles with your clutches, @ what rpm do you rev up to when moving forward from a complete stop?

First off, no "revs"... It should be one fluid motion with letting up the clutch to pressing the accelerator. People who do multiple revs are afraid of stalling, there is no point. Other than that, for take off, you simply give it more gas and let the cluth up faster to accelerate faster. Using your clutch wont burn it up, riding it will, hence rev acceleration...
