The World has Gone Gaga over Handmade Hats

Handmade hats are the perfect accessory for any outfit.  They allow you to personalize your signature style and are a bold and contemporary addition to any ensemble.  And I'm not talking about those winter beanies your grandmother used to knit you for Christmas every year—though hipsters seemed to love them.  You can find handmade hats of all colors, shapes, and sizes if you know where to look.

 

How about a flashy fedora or a classic beret to complete that elegant look?  If you're into a more bohemian look, knit tams and recycled dreadlock wraps make perfect handmade hats!

 

And speaking of bohemian, hippie hats are exceptionally popular among hipsters and other "rebellious youth" these days.  Hippie hats come in all sorts of colors but most stick to the earth tones and classic oversized styles.  Some folks even classify Rasta wraps and hats within this style but those often feature rainbow colors and such.  At any rate, they're perfect for giving yourself that bohemian chic look or truly going bohemian.  You can find hippie hats at any mall or outlets store but that's kind of defeating the purpose, isn't it?

 

Think handmade.  Think organic fibers.  Think recycled material!  And what could be more "hippie" than hemp hats?  Hemp is a great natural fiber that has just enough of a counterculture reputation to bring credibility to your wardrobe and give you that anti-authoritarian edge you've been looking for.

 

Hemp hats can come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and colors as well. In fact, there's a whole catalog out there just waiting for you.  Don't overlook the earth-friendliness of hemp hats either.  Hemp is a renewable resource, easily grown and its cultivation doesn't take much as far as natural resources out of the ground.

Whatever you decide to put on your head, make sure it fits your personal style.

 

Think of accessorizing you head with a hat as you would accessorizing your ears (or lips, or nostrils) with rings.  Finding the perfect hat is a hard thing to do.  You don't want to go too bold and overpower your clothes but you don't want to go too understated and miss an opportunity.  Once you find the perfect hat style for your head, don't be afraid to mix up the colors of fabric choices—shape and style are the most important elements.  And if your perfect hat happens to be handmade and earth-friendly, so much the better!

What should I call my shop?

Its a new online shop selling through a site called Folksy, similar to Etsy!
Its selling handmade accessories like hippie style hairbands, fabric flower brooches/necklaces/hair accessories and clutch bags!
They will be sort of bohemian chic in style and would like a name that reflects this style but is also easy to remember/memorable! One idea I had was Tiger Lily Accessories, I like it but would like a few more ideas as the flowers I make at the moment aren't very 'Lily' like so don't know if the name would confuse potential buyers?
