Why does everyone at school call me a d-bag for wearing/liking Ed Hardy shirts?

im a senior and everone talks down when i wear a ed hardy t-shirt. i dont care but im just wondering why?

The reason people say that is because Ed Hardy has gained a reputation for being for people that have no fashion sense, and blindly buy these products because of their high-in-price value. Personally, I disagree with this, as I like Ed Hardy. I buy the products (and I assume you do too) because they look edgy, urban, and they have their own unique fashion sense. Since you're in high school, most people are just saying that because they are jealous and can't afford it themselves. This is because, like luxury Italian sportscars, the Ed Hardy brand has become a status symbol. But unlike Italian sportscars, it is somewhat more manageable for people to get a hold of, which is what a lot of TV dbags did (i.e, Jon Gosselin and the tools from Jersey Shore). Because of this, people have come to associate the brand with guys like that, which in my opinion is a downright shame. Rewind about a year or two ago and Ed Hardy was the best thing to hit the fashion world. I still believe it is in som respects, it is just unfortunate that most people can't see past the Jon Gosselin. >:-(
