Does your school have to do this?

At our school, we have to wear Identification cards and it drives me insane. Seriously, they will know if you don't go to that school. We have to wear ours on a lanyard and it drives me crazy because i hate having things around my neck! (Unless it is a really light necklace.) If you don't have an I.D. card, you get detention or have to be late to class and go get a sticker with your name on it and be late to class, NO PASS! Do you guys have to do it and do you know why we have to do this?
We don't have uniforms, it is a public school, but it would be pretty obvious if someone that didn't go there would be there because in that school, everyone knows everyone and if there is just some random kid, everyone would know. We get new kids, but they usually come in the middle of the day for their first day of school.

None of the schools ive ever gone to has had to do that. It seems pretty stupid.
Maybe you and some friends should try talking to the principle or something about finding a new way of keeping track of people.
