i need to know what era the leather jacket came in was in the 60's or 70's. i really need to know please help

I would guess mid 60's into the early 70's. I know a lot of punk rock bands wore studded leather jackets. But, if I had to choose one, it would probably be the 1960's. I believe Elvis wore his share of leather jackets. As did the Beatles.
