Hi, I am a guy, and need to dress like I am going to a bar in the 1980's. Any suggestions ?

Some suggestions I have received were pleated pants, leather jackets, and silk shirts (think trying to pick up girls at a bar) Also, what colors ??? I can't wear white or black!

1. A polo shirt, preferably in a pastel shade - MUST have collar worn up!! No exceptions.

2. Chinos or dockers will work, but a pair of straight leg, tight fitting jeans, cuffs rolled and a pair of deck shoes. No socks!

3. If you can find a Member's Only jacket, you've got it made as a Preppie guy.

That's the easiest way to get an 80s look without much work. Parachute pants. That's another look, but some of the stuff is hard to find.

Btw, the shirt must be tucked in and wear a belt!

The polyester suite and platform shoes were the 1970's. Sorry, I was there then, too.
