Is there a product I can apply to my patent leather shoes to protect them from the elements?

I'll be wearing my patent leather shoes daily, and want to protect them because I LOVE them, and they were expensive. I'll mostly be wearing them to school, even on rainy days.

So, is there a protective coating I can apply to the shoes that will keep them waterproof, plus shiny and new looking? They are coloured a bright funky turquoise colour, so the coating has to be clear of course. And I don't want it to darken or stain the patent leather over time.

I go to a Tractor Supply store and buy leather cleaner-conditioner to protect all my leather boots and saddles.
