Nappy Bags - Find Ones with Style
Although "style" and "nappy bags" do not really seem to go together in the minds of mothers today, stylish nappy bags do exist. As a matter of fact, quite a few of them don't even look like nappy diaper bags from the outside.
There are actually quite a few styles of nappy bags in today's market; there are even camouflage ones that dads wouldn't be humiliated to use. A lot of dads happen to hate having to carry pink bags with princesses or teddy bears on them, so this is sure to send a smile on his face.
A lot of stylish nappy bags out there won't even put a dent in your wallet, with several branded ones going for very affordable prices. Now, if you don't mind spending a bit more when buying nappy bags, you can also look at some that have higher price ranges and are made of expensive materials like real leather, if you'd like. Several bags are even specially made to look classy enough to wear to other places, even when your child has gotten older and no longer needs diapers.
Probably the most vital thing to take into consideration when picking out nappy diaper bags would not be their style, though. Because you will need to put that bag to use for months whenever you take your baby out with you, you should look for one that is easy and comfortable to carry around. You also have to make sure that it would be convenient to store things into it. This refers to other baby items - not just diapers - like bottles, pacifiers, wet wipes, tissues and various other things that you need to bring whenever your baby is with you. If you'd prefer, you could take a look at nappy backpacks, as well; several mothers seem to find them easier to tote around compared to nappy bags.
Either way, both nappy backpacks and nappy bags now come with padded shoulder straps, so that mothers can get very comfortable ones - just another bonus to stylish nappy bags today. One other feature that would make such a bag all the more convenient would be its small pockets, where you can put various baby items into. Several bags even have special pockets that are the perfect sizes for lipstick, mobile phones, wallets and coins, as well as other general items you would normally need. The most stylish nappy bags out there might even offer up a color-coordinated, matching changing pad, as well as a waterproof interior in case milk bottles spill into them.

What to pack in a nappy bag?
i just want to mak a chek list so everytime i leave the house, i can have a packed nappy bag.
i have a newborn, and a 1 year old, please help me.
For the newborn:
- nappies, around four
- bottles/milk (if bottle feeding)
- a dummy/pacifier (if using)
- a sleepsuit or all-in-one romper suit in case of accidents, this takes us less space than a full outfit. When my son was a newborn I would carry one and just change him into it if he got messy.
- bibs, around two
For the one year old:
- nappies, around two or three
- a drink
- a snack or lunch/dinner (depending what time of day you're going out and how long for)
- a dummy/pacifier (if using)
- a pair of pants and a t-shirt, this suits all weathers because if it's hot the t-shirt is short sleeved and if it's cold he would already have a coat/hat/gloves, etc on that he can put over the top of it
- a small toy
General items that can be used for both and for yourself:
- baby wipes
- a little bottle of antibacterial hand gel
- blanket
- teething gel or small bottle of Calpol and spoon/syringe
- small tube of Bepanthen, it's not just for sore bums, I find it's really good on little bumps and scrapes too
Whatever you pack, just remember that you have to carry it all lol. Pack as lightly as you can, just the essentials. You'll find that you'll adapt your bag to suit your needs. For instance I did start off packing a whole clean outfit for my son when he was a newborn - vest, socks, pants, a top, and a jacket or cardigan - just in case he messed himself. Then I realised that a sleepsuit folds smaller, is lighter to carry, and takes up less space. So I just packed a sleepsuit for emergency clothing changes.
Think about where you're going and for how long and what time of year it is. At the minute I always have a bottle of Factor 50+ sun cream and a sun hat in my bag because it's sunny. If you're only going out for an hour then you don't need half a dozen nappies and three bottles, you'd probably only need two nappies at most (never pack just one, they know and will dirty the only clean one you have about five seconds after you put it on) and maybe one bottle.
If you forget to pack something, don't panic. Boots, Superdrug, and most other chemists (and even most supermarkets) sell whatever it is you've forgotten. You can buy disposible bottles and cartons of ready-made milk reasonably cheaply. Same for dummies, spoons, jars of baby food, wipes, and anything else. I've even had to run into Asda before and buy a cheap baby outfit because I forgot to pack one and my little man decided to poop down his legs and up his back!
