If you leave it in longer will it be darker?

I bought L'Oreal Paris Superior Preference 4 Dark Brown hair dye (Penelope Cruz's "signature shade")nand I was wondering if I leave it in just a bit longer (not long enough to make my hair fall out) will it be a darker brown? My hair is currently a reddish-cinnamony-brown. I want it a deep deep dark brown.

This is not a touch up... I want to completely dye my whole head a darker color.

The instruction read to apply all throughout hair and leave the dye in for 25 minutes. If I leave it in for an extra 10 minutes (It reads to do so if you have resistant grays), will my hair color result be the darkest brown I desire?
