CONDOMINIUM MAKATI

What's a fair price for a Winchester Model 1300 12 gauge slug with bushnel scope and sling in perfect cond.?

I would not pay more than $200 for said gun. In fact, I would personally not pay more than $150. Allow me to explain...

I saw a similar shotgun in a nearby pawn shop. It has a traditional LONG vent rib barrel that is/was made for upland game shooting. Then, someone added the scope to it...which is only handy for big game hunting (namely deer). It's like turning an Oldmobile 98 into a stock car for dirt track racing...sure it can be done, but there are better ways of going about it. So...the question is...does it have a "slug barrel" with rifle type sights? If so, then that makes it more "worthy".

The other thing you have to be careful of on the Winchester 1300 is how they mounted the scope. If they drilled holes in the receiver to mount the base...then that's not the way to go. Why? Because the Winchester model 1300 uses and aluminum receiver. When you "drill and tap" the top of an aluminum receiver and then proceed to place steel screws into place to hold the scope mount, you are asking for trouble over the long term. This is specifically why I prefer the Remington 870...that uses an all steel receiver and allows for the safe mounting of a steel bases and screws (Steel on steel? Yes. Steel on aluminum. No.)

So, the important points here are; (1) what kind of barrel? Vent rib or slug barrel with rifle style sights? (2) How is the scope mount attached to the shotgun? Did they drill through the aluminum receiver or use another method to attach the scope?
