Well, neither of the examples you give are arguments, really. They are symbols that inevitably get over-used. I'm very, very tired of refuting Pascal's wager all the time, and in fact I like to keep alive the traditional "drinking game," where every time you answer one of those questions you've already answered way too many times, you take a drink.
