Well the reason I ask is I was watching a Story on CNN about a new hermes( top desinger) line of purses. The purse they were talking about had a price tage of $145,000. Its made out of cocidial skin and has 18 kart gold clasp that have 18 or so dimonds. I think the purse is a bit too much.

This question speaks to a thought that I have pondered for many years. Is it right, just because you can afford it to spend excessive amounts on clothes, shoes and other adornment? I tend to shop for quality. Is it well made, if I take care of it how long will it last, does this style suit my body type and how easy is it to care for. Is it because we spend so much time idolizing the Paris Hilton's of the world and less time developing ourselves and our own taste? Many people will say that it is an OK purchase if you can afford it but being able to afford something doesn't make it affordable in the long run when there is such suffering in the world due to poverty and war.
