LV Collection Design Explain in 3 Minutes

Following is a brief explanation on the almost complete collection of LV. LV is also one of the oldest fashion houses in the world, having started in 1854. The design, canvas and textile use for LV collection is categorized as follow :-

Monogram

This is one of the most popular design that symbolise Louis Vuitton for the longest time. Thhe Monogram canvas was created by George Vuitton who is the son of Louis Vuitton. The design was made up of the LV monogram, concave rhombus quadrangular and four-leaf flowers and were partly influenced by the Japanese traditional design. The purpose of this new design was to prevent counterfeiting. On why he chosen something that is "orential" in design remain a mystery.

Damier

Damier is another classic collection. Damier Canvas has two seperate lines, the brown often refer as Canvas and beige as known as Azur. Azur collection was launched only in 2006, Damier canvas is iluminated by a new colour, Azur which is perfectly complementary to the existing ebene.

Epi

Epi leather bags were created in 1986, the textile used on EPI is "grainy" feel leather. The key advantage of EPI compared to LV other design line is due to its hardiness- it helps to repel water and also withstands daily wear. EPI bags come in a variety of colors since its introduction.

Multicolore

The Monogram Multicolore canvas was created by a Japanese artist, Takashi Murakami for Louis Vuitton in 2003. This sophisticated interpretation of the famous Monogram canvas is a technical masterpiece, consisting of 33 silk-screened colors. This complete line of city bags and small leather goods for women is available with either a black or a white backgorund, in emblematic Louis Vuitton shapes or collection-specific designs. Multicolore is also a populare design for counterfiet in the replica market today.

Vernis

Did you know that Monogram Vernis Leather was created by Marc Jacobs in 1998, at that time, he was the Artistic director and creates fashion clothing line for men and women. Well we all know Marc Jacobs, he has a label under his own name today. Monogram Vernis is a vivacious, bright, shiny line. It is made of patent calfskin bags and accessories and it comes in a wide range of unususal, and subtle colours.

Monogram Mini Lin

Monogram Mini Lin Canvas, a blend of cotton and linen, expresses the Monogram signature on a natural, supple, light and hard-wearing jacquard. The canvas is used in association with grained calf leather on a permanent collection of city bags and small leather goods, whose casual and urban spirit makes them perfect for daily use. Monogram Mini Lin comes in two neutral complementary colours: ebene and dune.

Monogram Demin

The leather goods present a material emblematic of the ready-to-wear: Denim. Marc Jacobs has created the Monogram Denim Canvas in 2005. The material is created from a rigorous selection of very high quality cottons, the canvas is meticulously woven on a jacquard loom in order to highlight the Monogram motif. The material is both supple and hard-wearing. To achieve a worn effect, the product is bleached and stonewashed. It is this technique that creates the distinctive vintage look.

Monogram Panda Trotteur

Takasi Murakami now puts yet another artistic spin on the classic Monogram Canvas line. A colorful flying panda decorates one side of the bag while the back of the critter shows on the other.

Monogram Cerises

Cerises was created between Louis Vuitton and the Japanese artist Takashi Murakami which is designed for the Spring-Summer 2005 show.The cherry, fruit of an intense, bright and appetizing red, brightens up the Monogram canvas with communicative joy. This new pattern gives freshness and cheerfulness with all its different expressions: laughter, surprise and amazement. 

Other special collection include Antigua Collection, named after the Caribbean island known for its yacht races (far left, first) Monogram suede with natural tanned cowhide trim, Monogram suede with natural tanned cowhide trim (second) ,the Sac de Nuit is made of Toile Trianon canvas and striped cotton lining (third), The "That's Love" collection was created by another one of our favorite designers, Marc Jacobs. I was wondering if anyone had any information on anaphylactic reactions?

I am a 13 year old female and have had many allergic reactions. I was wondering if anyone had any answers. I have seen my allergist been tested and now going to Duke in January. When I have a reaction my hands and feet start to itch and become red, my face turns red, and my throat and tongue swells up making it very hard to breathe. I now have an epi pen and I have used it twice and have had to go to the er twice in three days. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen this happen before and had to help the person use an epi-pen before she went to the ER. It's a very traumatizing situation and I'm sorry you have to go through it.

First and foremost, you need to figure out what your allergic to (and it could be more than one thing). Obviously this will be done in January but you can do some investigative work in the meantime. Common causes of anaphylaxis are allergies from food, medications, insect stings and latex. Think about what you were in contact with or eating right before you had the reaction. My friend is extremely allergic to most fruit but if she isn't sure she is able to lick the fruit. If her tongue starts tingling, she knows she can't eat it and she takes benadryl . They found out her son was allergic to eggs when he first had scrambled eggs, and milk, which he grew out of. I know of another who is allergic to latex and has to be careful what type of food service gloves she wears.

If you think it might be food based, since you will still have to eat food until January (hehe), would recommend eating little bits of food and waiting for a reaction. They also give allergy tests in clinics at places like Wal-Mart & CVC that might also give you some idea for now. I have included a list of the most common (general) allergies. Stay away from places (restaurants) and foods that have unknown ingredients.

Less common causes of anaphylaxis also include food-dependent, exercise-induced anaphylaxis (uncommon and occurs only when a person eats a specific food and exercises within three to four hours after eating) and Idiopathic anaphylaxis (a severe reaction in which no cause can be determined, and more commonly found in females).

Once you narrow it down more (gluten, shellfish, etc allergy), just avoid the items until January when the specialist at Duke can figure it out. Health food stores such as Whole Foods are good places to go to when you have a general allergy and you should always make sure to read the label.
