Fix Red Ring Xbox

I've been looking around online the last couple of days, trying to find a way to fix the dreaded red ring on my Xbox 360. I've had my Xbox since launch day a few years ago, and it's always worked fine. Then a couple of weeks ago, without warning, it just died on me. I know plenty of other people who've had it happen to them, so it wasn't a complete surprise. But that doesn't make it any easier to accept.

I'm almost embarrassed to say I tried it, but I was desperate to get my Xbox up and running again. As you can probably guess, it didn't fix my Xbox 360.

Another bunch of sites recommended different positions for the power adapter, claiming it would allow better air circulation. I followed all their instructions, but nothing they suggested would fix my Xbox 360.
