Clutch purses and small handbags are perfect for almost any occasion no matter how casual or formal.  The variety of purses available will appeal to anybody’s style and personal taste.  Additionally clutches can be carried a variety of ways to highlight specific parts of your outfit.  Here are some tips to keep in mind when buying that perfectly elegant clutch purse or evening bag.

Small evening bags and clutch purses are especially tailored for special occasions.  Whether a wedding, party, or date the right handbag can really make your outfit go from something ordinary to amazing.  Larger clutches and handbags are better suited to everyday use.  Like other handbags, it is best to have one or two clutch purses or evening bags that coordinate with much of your closet so you can use it with many of your outfits.  A white fur or black satin clutch would be good examples.  Another good characteristic to look for is a strap either to always carry the bag or to pull out if you need the option.  Clutch purses are easier to steal so be sure to hold them close to your body.  Remember too that bulky, stuffed bags are not a fashionable look, so plan to only carry the bare minimum if you choose to wear a clutch purse or evening bag.

Your height and weight should help dictate the type and size of the handbags you buy.  Complementing your size will show off your purse instead of your purse showing off you.  If you are petite, remember to choose smaller handbags to match your size.  If you want to go big, wear larger earrings as it will draw people’s eyes to your face.  A smaller evening bag is better though to keep from looking like you’re carrying a suitcase.  Tall ladies can pick larger sized bags since their height is offset by the bigger bag.  Skinnier women look best with soft, hobo, or round bags and clutches, while plus-sized ladies are highlighted by structured bags.  The general principle is to add contrast, “if you have a soft body features, go for something that will sharpen the edges, however if you have stronger and thinner features opt for something that will soften them.”

What shoes would be perfect for this outfit?

I have a strapless black dress, made of satin and its A-shaped. Its tight fitting and goes to my knees. I'm planning to use a beige rose colored clutch, made of soft leather. I've been having trouble finding shoes to match. I like pumps, peep toes, but I try to stay away from strappy shoes. so if any of you had any suggestions I would be very thankful
