In last week's edition of "Take Advantage" We touched on the savings on used cars coming from the USA.  I explained the benefits and great buys for our big three manufacturers GM, FORD, and Dodge, and the enormous savings to be had when comparing U.S. to Canadian vehicles. Bmw have truly made a statement to the Porsche Cayenne lovers of the world with this latest edition to the M family.  Bmw have tweaked the entire X5 model by reinforcing the brakes, drive train and suspension to cater to the sheer power this highway eater possesses. They've included a six-speed M sport paddle shift for the racing enthusiasts, and it does not disappoint. BMW's tend to depreciate fast with the first two years, and that has increased their used cars and SUVs' sales. You will easily dish out $110 000 for the X5M , but you can pull a 2010 with low miles from the U.S. for low 70's and have it in your garage for $80 000 CND. The best part of it all is that there is no duty on this bad boy, as it is built in North America, and conversion fees are minimal.Dealers in Canada are selling slightly used 2009 X5M's for $90 000 plus, so you will save $10-$20 000! 

I've listed two ferocious beasts that can be had while saving tens of thousands of dollars, if purchased slightly used from the U.S.. If you are in the market for a supercar or truck, find a website that lists U.S. used cars and trucks for Canadian customers. Where can I donate slightly used toys?

I want to teach my daughter to appreciate her toys and about the giving to children that don't have as much as she does. So we would like to donate her slightly used toys directly to under privileged children. I'm not looking for donating to a store that donates the money. I'm looking for some way for the toys to go directly to the kids. I'm in Va Beach, so around there would be great, but not necessary.

Parca, St. Vincent de paul - churches........there are nmany places you can donate to...... homeless shelters...doctors ofices......childrens hospitals.....
