Advertising Local Online is a Boon for Small Businesses

The Internet has proven to be a huge boon for an entire new generation of entrepreneurs. Many young men and women have been able to start new businesses with little overhead. They have found that they can sell a product or a service online and ship it almost anywhere in the world. Rather than being constrained to a single geographic locality, they are often to find customers almost anywhere. For these people, advertising on the Internet was natural and straightforward. Since their customer could be anyone on the Internet, it was an easy task to simply tailor their marketing campaign to show up anywhere and everywhere. Many large corporations also found themselves in a similar situation. Since people all over the nation and the world were potential customers for their well-known products, it was an easy decision for them to use the Internet to advertise new products.

Unfortunately, it seemed as if it was the small local business owner who was out of the loop during this entire period. Small businesses have been considered the backbone of America for centuries, and yet they were having difficulty adapting to the new opportunities that the Internet was giving to entrenched corporations and young startups. If a small business owner ran a potato stand in a small town in Pennsylvania, then it made no sense for him to blast information about his potato stand all over the Internet. Of what use was it to pay to advertise his potato business to people in New York City or Los Angeles? These people would likely not become customers.

Now, however, a revolution is occurring. Many business owners have figured out how to harness the power of the Internet to advertise only to potential customers in specific geographic locations. By advertising local online, the potato farmer could restrict his marketing campaign to only show up on the computer screens of those people who are located within 50 miles of his town. If someone in Pennsylvania performed a search for "best potatoes," then his advertisement would show up; but if someone in Los Angeles performed the same search, then he wouldn't need to waste his money on advertising costs.

By utilizing local advertising techniques on the Internet, this potato farmer could experience a large increase in customers. People from all over his county might begin to beat a path to his door because of his Internet advertisement. Soon, he may need to purchase more land simply to keep up with demand. None of this would have been possible without advertising local online.

What is implantation bleeding and how long does it last?

I just recently lost a baby on Jan 24 at 8 weeks I had to have a D&C. I have irregular cycles and have not had one since than. I recently two weeks ago had fertile cervical fluid and we tried to concieve when it was present it has now been two weeks and I had a small amount of pink & brown in my discharge once yesterday and once today but still no period, I've never had this happen before my period usually comes pretty good when it comes, do you think this is implantation bleeding and if so when can I take a test to show a positive if I am pregnant. I feel for you having a miscarriage at 8 weeks, so sad. I hope this is good news for you. It could be implantation bleeding if i were you I would take a test in 3-4 weeks time to be sure of a result. Alternatively go and chat with your doctor. Wishing you much luck!
