Restaurant advice in London please!?

Hi everyone. I am organising a meal out in London for my parents to meet my new boyfriend! This is a momentus occasion as you can imagine, so I need the perfect venue. Somewhere lively and fun, fairly large, with a bar preferably for that relaxed atmosphere. Also the food needs to be GOOD (as my BF is a bit of a food critic) and the surroundings and clientele need to be classy and chic (as I'm a bit of a snob). Price does not matter, but it can't be too formal as the relaxed atmosphere is important for this special occasion! Needs to be in central London, preferably Soho/Mayfair/Covent Garden area. Cuisine can be anything except Japanese or Italian, but preferably British or Spanish. I know this is fairly specific, which is why I'm having a hard time finding somewhere suitable, but I hope someone can help! Please only recommend places you have personally been to.
