Can I exchange a purse I bought at the Dooney and Bourke outlet?

I recently ( two days ago) bought a bag at the Dooney and Bourke outlet mall for my sister as a graduation gift. After a day of thinking it over I realized it's not going to be big enough; she is going to be a K-5 teacher. Can I bring it back and exchange it for the bigger version...an xtra 15 dollars. It has all the tags, still in the bag. I'm not looking for money back I simply want to return it for a larger bag. Yes it is a sale item..but then again...is not everything at the outlet stores sale items? They did not say it was not returnable when I purchased it. Any feedback helps. I'm concerned I'm stuck giving her a gift she can't use.
Why answer if you don't have an answer and be rude? What if someone comes across this question and had an experience with returning a bag at a D&D outlet...perhaps even works at one? That is what Yahoo Answers if for, correct?
