I have a braided pachira money tree that has new sprouts coming up within the braids. Do I cut them?

I have a braided pachira money tree that has new leaf sprouts coming up within the braids. Should I trim them off or let them grow and try and weave them if they become thick enough?

We just got it about 3 weeks ago and I haven't been able to find any forums talking about this particular subject yet.

Yes, cut them off if you want to have a bare stem where the braided part is. I take cuttings off of the top of my parcha aquatica.

They are verry east to take cuttings to propagate, just make sure the cuttings are about 3in or longer. After cutting take the leaves off of the stem until the first few, dip the cut end in rooting hormone (example:roottone) and stick it in dirt. Keep the cutting in shade first the first week or two and be sure to keep the soil moist.
