where can i get the most money selling my vintage designer handbags in nyc?

i live in nyc, and i'm looking to sell a few of my vintage designer handbags (gucci, fendi, etc. from around the 1970's...all in great condition). i know there are a bunch of consignment shops specializing in secondhand high end designer apparel and accesories that will buy them, but i want to know which ones in particular tend to pay the seller the most, as i don't want to get ripped off. i've heard that ebay is usually the best bet when it comes to selling things like this, but i just don't have the patience (plus, i've never used ebay before and i know that unless you have a bunch of good ratings it's near impossible to get good, high bids)

does anyone have experience selling to high end consignment shops? what would you reccomend?
